How the CoronaVirus impacts the Human soul.

I don’t watch the news, I gave up on them a long time ago cause I realized just how NEGATIVE they were. I didn’t want to practice negativity; people get better at what they practice so I stopped listening to the negative news.

A few weeks into the corona virus, after slowly seeing each and everyone of my local and favorite activities being shut down. I decided to read up on corona virus news.

Biggest mistake, as I was reading I started developing the symptoms then I calmed down and realized it was all in my head…having to calm myself down has been EFFORT.

Everywhere I look people are sporting FEAR. My mind goes bonkers, I see a person wearing a face mask and I wonder, are they sick? Should I be running away from them? They’re gonna contaminate my body! Then I have to calm my monkey mind down.

It’s so much Effort…

I see the empty restaurants and buildings, the empty highways and streets, should I be MORE alarmed?

The answer is NO. People are taking precaution and that’s okay. Some people are  focused on Fear and that’s okay too.

I am trying to focus on the opposite. And That makes me feel better. I am grateful for my healthy body and soul. I am grateful that my mind is not letting itself get boggled down by negative stuff. I am thankful that I am actively seeking and bathing in tranquility and peace of mind. I am thankful that I am keeping conscious and nourishing my soul, instead of getting lost in the waterfall of ALERTING news.

They just don’t stop.

We can dig deeper into the down-whirl spiral. Or, we can lift ourselves up. The virus is happening, and just like any other common cold we must take precaution; precaution means washing hands, sneezing/coughing into elbows, not getting too close to people or be in large crowds. That’s it.

That’s allll precaution is. It is NOT fueling negativity. It is not scaring the masses.

The truth is that this virus is not the most harmful. We are lucky that Nature only developed a cold like sickness that becomes deadly to very few people. Nature could’ve developed something WORSE.

Nature can do anything, and I’m sure Nature is tired of how we are treating it, so it’s a wonder that it hasn’t done anything worse. Perhaps it is our time to learn NOW.

How to be more mindful of Nature?

How to work better with Nature?

How to improve mega city hygiene?

How to improve communities among people?

What else is Nature trying to gently teach us?

We are mere mortals, we are meant to die. In fact people die every minute of everyday, so this virus is just Nature doing its thing.

People don’t wanna die because they don’t FULLY live. Fully living takes courage, lots of effort, and communion with Nature. How many of us are fully living, in FAITH, not fear?

How many of us are ready to die,  not because we don’t wanna live another day but because we live so FULLY, there is no baggage.

I do not hold on to Fear. I do not hold on to Pain. I do not hold on to Panic. I fully embrace LIVING.

What are YOU fully embracing???

Thanks for reading. Namaste.

Yogi musings II

Yogi utility belt tools

There’s a million things I could be thinking of, I am thinking about this because…

…because I want it to be real?

..because it’s most important?

.because it deserves all of my attention?

because there’s no better way to use my energy —no better thing for me to be thinking about?

What about the PRESENT.

The Here, the Now.

This moment.

Pause.

Listen. Take a deep breath. How does it smell? What do you smell?

Open your eyes.

What do you see?

Look around.

360.

Notice what’s behind your head —without turning around. Feel.

What do you sense behind you?

Now take a breath. How’s your breathing? Inhale deeply; all the way down to your sit-bone, at the end of your spine. Let Prana fill you. Let it be effortless.

Let it be.

When you exhale let go fully. Exhale everything out.

No need to hold anything in.

Notice again what you see, look around. Note the shape, color and texture of things. How do they feel, how do you feel?

Relaxed muscles, not holding onto any tension. This moments has all of your attention. Grant it your breath, consistent and breezy.

Let it all out. Let it all in.

Breath easy.

Yogi musings

Yogi utility belt tools

I’d love to die in a harmonious world.
I think that inner harmony comes from our relationship with nature. When Nature hurts, we hurt.

Wildlife pain resonates, it travels through vibrations we are not able to perceive yet we feel it in our hearts.

When they hurt, we hurt.
Nature, plants, animals and children hold so much energy around them. A child’s energy is especially abundant. So their pain is especially particular, it bounces and jumps from one place to the other. We may not perceive it, but we feel it all around. It’s in our own discomfort.
It’s in our own pain.

Sometimes there’s childhood pain we’ve never ever dealt with…

Pain is so suffocating.
But sometimes it serves some sort of comfort. Especially for those of us that grew up in a chaotic household. Some of us forget to break the cycle, direct our own lives, create our own new level of comfortable.
How many conversations must turn to complaints before we dare stop repeating the same old story? Do I dare be brave, do I dare live a most fulfilling existence. Happy, healthy, in harmony with Nature. Complete with Inner Peace connected to Source and all there is; this moment. Right now.
I am relaxed. I am at peace. I am content. I am satisfied. I am happy. I am one with each and every moment.

Never why not…always why YES?

I am enough. I see beautiful things (in nature) everyday. I hear beautiful things (nature or nothing, just the quiet of my mind). I smell delicious things (food, plants, essential oils). Every inhale and revitalize, every exhale I share life. Deeply, fully, always connected with this eternal circle of Life. I can taste it.
Thanks for reading. Namaste.

a poem about meditation:

Meditation is not reflection,

meditation is not flow,

meditation is re-connection;

reconnection to your mind, body and soul.

Your Soul is not your thoughts.

…your thoughts may not even be yours.

You are but the listener, the mere perceiver, the observer.

Are you listening?

Your mind is saying…

You are not your mind, it is solely a part of you. You are not your thoughts, they are clouds, sometimes they come and sometimes they go.

You are not your feelings, they are energy, they fuel you, they are mere tools —they help you navigate existence, but remember who’s in control.

It’s not the talker or the thinker or the thoughts inside your head.

Listen closely, oh so closely, you will hear your Soul instead.

It beats inside you, it breaths in Life.

One last thing it’s just your body yet it’s a magnificent thing for it’s your vehicle for this existence and it helps to navigate your Being.

Live your Present

a few good posts from this site:
1. What is my Present?
2. Why should I meditate everyday?
3. the Yogi utility belt

the Yogi utility belt

Yogi utility belt tools

I sort-of love Batman…not only is he incredibly handsome, he’s also unquestionably good —if he practiced Yoga everyday he’d be the total package ❤  alas, he is a fictional character so somethings are not possible, but I can still learn from him. Abound the many things I’ve learned from Batman I’ve also appropriated his use of a utility belt. Though I don’t carry smoke bombs or handcuffs in mine, my utility belt holds Yoga tools…

my Yogi utility belt includes

  1. Breath Awareness
  2. Rhythm of our Heart
  3. Senses
  4. Internal Narrative

The principal tool to help bring us back to center is the breath, many Yoga teachers teach their students to tune into their breathing in order to unite awareness of mind and body. Our bodies can do far more than what our often limiting minds can imagine; by tuning into our breathing we can circumvent our limiting thinking and focus right on Source, the present moment. When we focus on our Present nothing else is of importance —what matters is whatever we are focusing on. So tuning into our breath is a great tool to have in our Yogi utility belt, our breathing is semi-constant until we die (different factors cause it to fluctuate) so Breath Awareness is a great resource!

By using Breath Awareness, by actively trying to listen to our own breath, by consciously focusing on it, we help unite ourselves to our own present experience, and we become a true Yogi, i.e. united and in harmony with all there is.

Life is not lived in the past and it’s only imagined in the future, so the only real thing is right here, right now.

2. On a deeper level of consciousness actively listening to the Rhythm of our Heart will successfully unite us to the here and now. Tuning into our own inner rhythm offers so much more than I am able to describe as this is still a relatively new practice for me. All I know is that before we were even breathing we were beating, so our own individual heart rhythm sings of deeper knowledge —our rhythm is in everlasting harmony with all of life.

How do I become in-tune with my Present?
By listening to my own inner rhythm.

3. We have these marvelous Sense that allow us to perceive life and the world around —when we actively use them they help us to identify the present moment, they help us to become one with our gift. For example the conversation at the next table may have gotten a bit loud and it’s taking over your attention by using your Senses, for example by feeling your own body, you can come back to your own experience. Perhaps it’s time to shift your sitting position, perhaps it’s time to get up, perhaps it’s time to appreciate the cool breeze. You can feel, and you can see: observe the world around you. Everything is so alive. Everyone is living their own story, sometimes out-loud, sometimes in their heads. Some people worry about their appearance, some people worry about money, others worry about what they should be doing, while some worry that they’re doing too much…yet there are few who just sit back and appreciate the little things; they truly live their lives actively seeing, tasting, feeling, smelling, listening.

When was the last time you stopped and smelled the roses?
Can you almost taste the world around you when it rains?
Some plants feel like velvet, others like plastic.
Every sound plays in the overall melody.
Things look different from far away.

The last tool I have in my Yogi utility belt is my Internal Narrative tool. We are taught to write stories by first identifying some factors: who, what, when, where, why and how. Identifying those factors in or own inner narrative, especially in moments of obscurity, allows us to take charge of our own Internal Narrative. When we are the Directors of our own lives outer circumstances weigh almost nothing. It’s good to be light on our feet, it’s good to enjoy life, it’s good to be united and in harmony with our one and only human existence

Yogi —a practitioner of Yoga (the union of mind, body, and spirit) in harmony with the human experience.

Once a Yogi always a Yogi. As a Yogi you will encounter different teachers throughout your lifetime, each teacher will offer you different tools to help enhance your Yoga practice, and it’s up to you to decide which tools you keep and which you will not add to your Yogi utility belt.

A morning video to ease you into action.

Watch this video everyday. Make it part of your am ritual. Wake up slowly. Empower yourself.

Remind yourself everyday.

Everyday is a blessing. There is no separation from God, Source, the Universe. We are eternally connected to All That Is. It is all around us.

Nature knows best.

Let it quench you. Let it fill you. Let it defragment all the excess. Let go of that which no longer serves you. You know it doesn’t serve you when it pains you. If it crippled your soul that is not good pain.

Bear the good pain. Because

This is not a life of avoiding pain. This is a life of embracing Life. Life, with all of its ebbs and flows. Life, with all of its climate. We are not the weather, We are but mere observers of the storm, of the clouds, or a clear blue sky.Aren’t snow days beautiful? What about the magic of thunder storms? We seek not to have endless days of summer, nor do we long for longer winters we strive for harmony. We strive for mindfulness. We strive for that which cannot be seen.

Nature is the closest thing we have to God.

Outside, and our own inner nature. There is nothing wrong with us. Nothing needs to be fixed. We just let nature take its course; keep your sails high with the wind and lower them when it storms. Take some time to rest. Listen to your body and the world around it. Look at yourself from the outside. Hug yourself. Love on yourself. Appreciate yourself. Isn’t it lovely the vessel you chose to travel with you on this human journey?

Your Soul thinks so that’s why it chose You.

Embrace each-other. Acknowledge the other is there. Share your gratitude. Be harmonious. Inside then outside doesn’t matter, all troubles falls apart. Because the war is within the Self. There is no need to battle yourself. Accept they are just thoughts. Trained Synapses. Re-train them. Practice seeing things differently. Only you have the power to evolve yourself.

Dare you try?

What is being Present?

live your present, mushroom close up 7daysPresent TM logo - 7 days Present - mindfulness and meditation experiences - seven days present - AirBnB experiences - 7days present - uplifting - positive - mindful - self-development -practice - inner peace and harmony - lessons - release stress chakras
Being Present is living in the moment, not your phone, not in your head… not thinking about tomorrow, or yesterday.
When you are Present you are fully engaged with the world around you, with your activity, with whatever you are doing —with your LIFE.
Your one and only life.
When you are Present. You can see 360° around you, you can smell nature’s sweetness, feel the swift, smooth currents of air, and nothing is talking inside of your head.
There are no distractions.  When you are Present you are aware of your breath, you are aware of your heartbeat, you are aware of the energy around you. You are able to experience the only thing that’s REAL, THIS mOMENt. The past is only a compilation of fragmented memories, the future is not a promise. RIGHT NOW, THIS BREATH, that is your Present. It is your gift.
Breath in life, breath out life. Inhale energy, exhale energy.
Flow into the frequency you want to be tuned into.
Enjoy it.
Be thankful for every breath of it.
I am grateful. All is well. And all was well.

“Being present just takes being in each moment. Its manageable bits. “
